Day-by-Day Itinerary
Morning boat trip to Prison Island (Changuu Island), home to giant Aldabra tortoises u2014 some over 100 years old. Walk among these gentle giants and learn about the island's fascinating history as a former quarantine station. Enjoy snorkeling in the surrounding turquoise waters and a beachside lunch. Return to Stone Town for an evening walking tour and dinner at Forodhani Gardens night market.
Full-day excursion to Mnemba Atoll, a marine conservation area renowned for its incredible biodiversity. Snorkel among sea turtles, dolphins, and hundreds of colorful fish species. Continue to the eastern beaches of Paje or Jambiani, where you'll watch local seaweed farmers at work and enjoy fresh seafood at a beach restaurant.
Visit Chapwani (Grave Island), a tiny, peaceful island with a colonial-era cemetery and abundant birdlife. Swim in secluded coves and relax on empty beaches before returning to Zanzibar for your departure transfer.
