Sunday founded Great Pelican Safari in 2015, driven by a lifelong passion for wildlife tourism, nature, and culture. A graduate of the prestigious College of African Wildlife Management (MWEKA) with a high diploma specializing in wildlife tourism and safari guiding, Sunday brings academic rigor and deep field knowledge to every experience.

With over 10 years of guiding experience across African wildlife safaris, Sunday has worked with multiple tour companies as both a permanent resident guide and freelance guide. His intimate understanding of Tanzania's ecosystems, animal behavior, and hidden trails is what sets a Great Pelican safari apart.

It was this passion -- for sharing the beauty of the wild with travelers from around the world -- that motivated Sunday to establish his own locally owned company. Today, he splits his time between St. Paul, Minnesota and the field, ensuring every guest receives the authentic, expert-led safari experience that Great Pelican is known for.
