Experience one of the greatest natural wonders of the world – the annual wildebeest migration across the plains of the Serengeti and Masai Mara. This 12-day safari puts you in the heart of the action, with ample opportunities to witness the dramatic river crossings and massive herds following the ancient migratory routes. Day-by-Day Itinerary
You are met on arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport and transfer to your hotel in Arusha. Overnight stay.
An early morning departure takes you straight into the legendary Serengeti. Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in search of the incredible migratory herds and their eternal predators, the big cats. Your deluxe tented camp moves with the migration to ensure optimal wildlife viewing.
After a final game drive in the Serengeti, you cross into Kenya's equally iconic Masai Mara National Reserveu2014the eventual destination of the wildebeest migration.
Two full days of game drives allow you to scour the open plains and acacia woodlands of the Mara in search of dramatic wildlife sightings. The Mara River is often the setting for heart-stopping scenes as the migrating herds make treacherous water crossings, closely monitored by prowling predators.
Bid farewell to the Masai Mara with a morning game drive en route to Kenya's capital of Nairobi. Check into a city hotel for an overnight stay.
This morning, you transfer to the world-famous Giraffe Manor. This unique hotel is home to a herd of endangered Rothschild's giraffes who roam the grounds, famously sticking their necks through the manor's windows in search of snacks from guests.
Enjoy breakfast and some final giraffe encounters before your transfer to Nairobi's international airport for your departing flight.
